Russian River Rendevous at the James Beard House

The James Beard Foundation celebrates and promotes excellence in food and wine. In pursuit of this goal, the James Beard House, once the residence of culinary pioneer James Beard, plays host to notable chefs from around the country. On March 20, chef David Frakes and his team were the stars at this legendary culinary landmark. His five course dinner titled ‘Russian River Rendezvous’, was met by great acclaim. Paired with wines grown and made in the same terroir as most of the ingredients, this carefully curated menu, brought the beauty of the Russian River to enthusiastic diners escaping another snowy night in New York.

Members of the James Beard House and Lynmar Advocates Club Members from New York snapped up the eighty seats at this sold out dinner. Guests mingled with Winemaker Shane Finley and Proprietors Lynn and Anisya Fritz, during the reception, enjoying glimpses of the always buzzing kitchen with chefs focused on their creations. Lynmar staff and friends watched the activity with interest on the James Beard House live cam. Stay tuned for recipes and wine and food pairing ideas from this innovative and seasonal menu.
